Booking Rates
Artist / Band recording
Includes tracking, production, & mixing. The standard working day for us is 10am-6pm.
- The standard rate for an 8 hour day between the hours of 10am-6pm is £200. That includes engineer and use of our equipment.
- Our minimum booking policy is 4 hours at a charge of £120.
- Extra hours within the bracket of 10am to 6pm will be charged at a standard rate of £30. After-hours overtime from 6pm to 9am is charged at £35 per hour.
- 50% of the fee is required upfront, with the full amount payable at the start of the session.
- Cancellations will incur a fee. 4 weeks or more in advance no fee. 3 weeks in advance - 25%. 2 weeks in advance - 50%. 1 week in advance - 75%. Less than 1 week in advance - 100%.
We will send you a full quote once you have discussed your requirements for your peace of mind. For larger session bookings, please contact us.
Mastering
We can master your projects to make them sound clear, full and have a loudness that will sound great on all systems that you listen on. If you have an album recorded and want a second set of ears to perform the final judgement of quality, contact us.
- Mastering is charged £25 per track
- This service is additional to booking the studio out to record / produce / mix your project.
Drum Lessons
Andy has been teaching drums for many years now. If you live in Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Stevenage and the surrounding areas and are looking to book some drum lessons, contact Andy by email - andy@unitstudios.co.uk
- A 45 minute lesson is charged at a flat rate of £20.
Studio Tuition
Further your knowledge of the studio with lessons right here at Unit Studios. If you are thinking about a career in the studio, you can get a real-world idea if it is right for your by booking a preliminary session with us.
- Experienced staff take you step-by-step through the dark art of producing music.
- Bring your own tracks along to the lessons to increase your knowledge at the same time as being creative!
- One on one tuition on software techniques, recording skills and mixing.
- Group bookings available. Educational establishments are welcome.
- Studio Tuition is generally charged at £55 per 1.5 hour session for one-to-one work.
Get a 1 1/2 hour tutorial session on recording techniques, mixing and mastering for £55. You will never look at your own projects the same way again and it might inspire you into a career in music!
